Herod the Great had a son named Herod Philip I (not to be confused with his other son, Herod Philip II) by his 2nd wife Mariamne (not be confused with his 3rd wife, Mariamne II, who incidently is the mother of Philip II, also known as Herod II who should not be confused with Herod the Great’s other son Philip the Tetrarch also know as Herod Philip II) (nor to be confused with Mariamne the daughter of Herod Agrippa, the grandson of Herod the Great)


Herod the Great had another son, Aristobulus IV by his wife Berenice, who should not be confused with his great-granddaughter Berenice, the daughter of his son Herod Agrippa I, who should not be confused with his own son Herod Agrippa II.
